In 2020, my best friend and I were sitting at our fave Mexican restaurant...
And we said one day we would be able to come here for lunch consistently because we would work for ourselves.
And two years later, we both became full-time entrepreneurs.
It sounds silly- but our motivation was TIME FREEDOM!! It wasn't money, it wasn't because we didn't want to report to anyone, it wasn't because we thought we could do everything better on our own - we literally wanted the freedom to have lunch at our favorite restaurant on a Wednesday afternoon without requesting a day off.
It was that simple.
And that motivation pushed us to build successful businesses that gave us the time and freedom we needed.
These days, I literally have lunchtime scheduled in my calendar because I run my own business, and I make my own rules.
Now, don't get me wrong.
Building a business will surely come with trials. So our motivation was not the only thing responsible for our success.
But without motivation, we would have given up at the first sign of trouble.
So, what motivates you?
